Jonathan & BPro

This shoot was very much a collaboration, from Jonathons' creations & styling, the many props we gathered from around town, with the use of Rhinoceropolis's space and the help of Miss Abella Bala the above picture was created! You can view the full Jonathan and BPro article in the October issue of 303 Magazine.

The Cutting Room Floor

Every year 303 Magazine, produces a hair shoot for their October Issue, this is the fourth year they have done so and this year I was selected as the photographer. The shoot coincides with the Hair Show, which one of the biggest fashion/hair events of Denver's calendar year. The theme this year was Iconic Hair and each participating salon was given a movie to recreate! Our location was the DCPA (Denver Center for Performing Arts) who were absolutely amazing to work with and completely bent over backwards for us! (In case you weren't quite sure the movies are as follows: Elizabeth, Edward Scissorhands, Star Wars, Grease, Sid & Nancy & the Bride of Frankenstein.)

303 Magazine March Cover & SWIM shoot

I have to admit I really LOVE how this shoot turned out and I think 303 Magazine did a great job of laying out the cover - the effect on the images however was done by me. I of course could not have done this without my better halves; Charlie Price and Katelyn Simkins.

Michael Ensminger | Denver Artist

The instantly lovable Michael Ensminger. As soon as I met him I felt instantly at ease, like I had known him forever! This maybe because we immediately bonded over our common fascination with hoarders or maybe it was our love of photography, everything industrial and objects that are perhaps trash to some people but treasures to us.

Michael’s self portraits are exquisitely executed, the subject engaging from his series, What’s your sign?, where he takes on the persona 'Homeless Joe' to his series Zottelbart, nude self portraits in the high country in which he grew his beard for 6 years in preparation. He is a talented artist and when you are in his presence you get lost in his world.

It was an honor to photograph him. To read more about him check out this months 303 Magazine, The Art Issue!

Fashion Ninjas

Babak, the photographer to Americas most elite Hairdressers takes time out from his busy schedule to go play around on the beach with a stick. Both instantly in character when they step on the beach; Babak the Ugly and Felix the Good! Almost completely unarmed, the iphone was the only method of capture!
